NEW INFORMATION: Recycling pickup is now being offered by Trashporters, our current trash hauler. This new service is weekly backdoor recycling pickup. Recycling pickup will be a voluntary service and is not paid for from our maintenance fees. Those who want this service may pay for it and those that do not want this service do not have to pay for it
The cost is a very reasonable $4 per month per house paid one year in advance. Trashporters will pick up plastics, paper, metal cans, cardboard and glass for recycling. John DeFilippo, Board member, and Ruth Parks, neighborhood volunteer, will oversee this recycling program.
Recycling will start on April 1, 2011. If you would like to start recycling on April 1, the payment and paperwork deadline will be March 15, 2011. Please contact Ruth Parks with any questions at ruthparks@att.net or 281-497-7239. The recycling form to sign up and all the details of the program can be downloaded: Westchester Recycling Service Form.
